Webhouse Club, the priceline.com licensee that offers the “Name Your Own Price(sm)” service for Grocery and Gasoline products, has engaged CTB Consulting to reduce the time and manpower required to reconfigure and introduce new production ready Web applications to over 250 e-commerce application servers.
Webhouse Club added a sophisticated server test and release process to their IT infrastructure in response to the phenomenal growth of their web-based business. The original labor-intensive process for reconfiguring servers and releasing new code to production proved inadequate for this growth. The new process developed and implemented with CTB will automate the process, reducing the time required to deploy new servers and nearly eliminate the dependence on high-priced engineer-level staff for updates.
CTB Consulting implemented similar automation projects on non-Web platforms for Merck Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and the Philip Morris Corporation.
